In 2016, I worked with other local leaders in Washington County, Oregon to launch a new local chapter of the international climate activist group 350.org. I helped organize 350-Washington County’s first event, a showing of the climate change film This Changes Everything. In July, I moved to Washington state to return to school and left 350-Washington County in the capable hands of other organizers. The group has gone on to demonstrate grassroots support for local sustainability initiatives, educate residents about solar power options for their homes, and more.
