Climate Justice
The climate crisis affects everyone–but the people who are the most impacted already face systemic oppression resulting from centuries of colonialism, patriarchy, and white supremacy. As someone from a privileged background myself, it’s never my place to speak on behalf of people directly affected by the worst impacts of extreme weather, pollution, and fossil fuel extraction. However, I try hard to help raise up the stories of folks whose work for a more just, equitable, and truly sustainable future is often overlooked by mainstream narratives.
Below are some of my stories for which I had the chance to talk to people on the frontlines of resisting the fossil fuel industry.
